I founded the London Beatles Fanclub in 1988 and ran it for several years. However when my wife became ill a few years ago I had to give it up.
However the current owners are very keen to have me back on board and I have accepted. The name of the club has been changed to the British Beatles Fanclub to reflect the fact that the club's writers come from all over the country.
Amongst those on the staff of the club are Pete Nash, who wrote the news column for Beatles Montly. Pete is the editor of the Club's magazine. Also involved Rod Davis of the original Quarrymen, and Bill Harry, editor of Merseybeat.
I will be writing regular articles for the magazine and will be involved in organising club events. I'll bring you more details when I have them.
